Bitcoin ETF Flows
Institutional Bitcoin ETF flow intelligence. What US spot Bitcoin ETFs are doing with capital, and what that suggests about market conditions.
Institutional demand
ETF Flow Signal
This signal reads ETF positioning only. It is one input into the Bitcoin Outlook and does not replace it.
Daily US spot Bitcoin ETF net flows
Green is net inflow, red is net outflow. Max shows the most recent available window, not the full since launch history.
Cumulative US spot Bitcoin ETF net flows
Each point is the true cumulative net inflow since launch. The headline cumulative figure above is exact even when the chart window is shorter.
ETF flows vs Bitcoin price
Price sits above, daily flows below. Shown together for context. This is correlation, not causation.

ETF flows in Bitcoin Intelligence
ETF flows are one of the signals CoinGyaan uses to assess Bitcoin market conditions. The ETF signal contributes 12 percent to the broader Bitcoin Intelligence model and is read alongside trend, momentum, funding, open interest and Fear and Greed. It does not independently determine the Bitcoin Outlook.
etfNet = 5D average daily aggregate net inflow / 1,000,000 etfScore = tanh(etfNet / 300) contribution = etfScore x 0.12
Data source
ETF flow data may be delayed depending on the underlying source. Figures are net flows in US dollars.
Methodology
What ETF flows measure
Net capital entering or leaving the tracked US spot Bitcoin ETF products, in US dollars.
How aggregate flow is calculated
The daily aggregate net flow, total net assets and cumulative net inflow come directly from the provider's aggregate series for US spot Bitcoin ETFs. No values are estimated.
How flow momentum is calculated
The average daily net flow over the most recent 5 trading days compared with the prior 5 trading days. A difference beyond 40 million dollars reads Accelerating or Decelerating, otherwise Stable.
How flow concentration is calculated
Each fund's share of total ETF assets under management, which is always well defined between 0 and 100 percent. Cumulative flow share is deliberately avoided because funds with large lifetime outflows can distort it.
How the ETF Flow Signal is calculated
A blended score in millions of dollars: 50 percent the 5 day average daily net flow, 30 percent the 20 day average, 20 percent the flow momentum. Bands are at or above 250 Strongly Bullish, at or above 60 Bullish, at or below minus 60 Bearish, at or below minus 250 Strongly Bearish, otherwise Neutral.
How ETF flows contribute to Bitcoin Intelligence
etfNet is the 5 day average daily aggregate net inflow divided by 1,000,000. The engine applies etfScore = tanh(etfNet / 300) at a fixed 0.12 weight. The 5 day smoothing prevents a single unusual flow day from dominating the 24 hour outlook.
Limitations
- ETF flows do not equal all institutional Bitcoin activity.
- ETF data can be delayed.
- ETF flows do not guarantee Bitcoin price direction.
- Different providers can have methodology differences.
- Flow data should be read alongside broader market indicators.
